“Murals build a sense of community. They make areas welcoming.” - Grace McCammond (St. Louis muralist)
In my junior year of undergrad at University of Lynchburg (2018-2019), I led a project in a graphic design course, ART 398: Special Topics, to design and install a mural onto our art building, Dillard Fine Arts Center.
Goal: Colorful geometric triangular shapes that work with the landscape of the steps. Design would spill over the top of the angular wall and would also surround the entry.
Timeline: The process spanned an entire semester and the final installation was in early May 2019.
Total cost: ~$4,000
